I was there in the audience at Dania for Burgo's debut as a pro. Its funny I remember it just like it was yesterday but it was actually around 1982 or 1983. He played his first two games and he was catching and throwing his right side really well. It didnt look like he had any first time butterflies in his stomach, didnt seem like he was nervous at all. In his third game I put $20 to win on him, I forget who his backcourt partner was. He was post 4 and he ended up winning the game and I thnk I got back a little over $100. This was at a time when there was actually money in the pools and $20 wouldnt make the odds jump from 10-1 to 3-5. I think Burgo had a very good career with his right side being the strong part of his game. I must have watched Burgo play in hundreds of games over the years and I only saw him cut the serve on the left side and throw a left side remate once, and of course it landed on the wood. That was a shot that was just not in his repertoire.
