Re(2): Jai-Alai Theory: Why are exactas 83, 84, and 85 better than 81 and 82?

trifecta results show how much more common 8/12/456 is, over 8/5/1234

Jim,

I don't know how how reached that conclusion, but it's wrong. In general, when 8 wins in a 7 pt game, the exacta breakdown in percents is:

81 14.7

82 14.7

83 17.5

84 19.5

85 17.4

86 11.3

87 4.8

Based on that, wouldn't you expect that the top 'good' tri's for 85 and especially 84 would be a little better than 8/12/456?? In fact, both 8/4/123 and 8/5/123 come out on top by about 20%.
