When I say Johnnie Hamui had a fronton on his property it wasn't like like you could go and play or practice there. It was like George Steinbrenner has his own tennis court or bowling alley on his estate. I went one time to Johnnie Hamui's house and it was palatial. I saw the cancha. It was regulation, but it was private and it made me wonder how often did he or his brother just go out and play like someone would play a match on a tennis court. The lights were turned down low but even Piston remarked how beautiful the cancha looked. They were fantastic players so I could only imagine they played a lot. Even though you were born in 1969, you must have heard of players like the Espitia brothers, Hurtado brothers, Barrutia, Cuevas...I can come up with many more...How about Roque and the legendary Salazar who I saw play a partido in Acapulco when he was 60???
