Yeah, that goes into the file....along with practically everything
else you post. Heh heh.
Recently, I saw Iriondo in a Partido on Canal Vasco (it was pretty
unmemorable in itself so I don't remember who else was in it),
and was struck by Iriondo's performance. While he did not appear
to be of Irastorza quality, he seemed to be having a wonderful
time playing and the fans seemed to love it....and him. He seemed,
if I may be schmaltzy, like one of the good guys. I know it's
really difficult to tell from just watching something like that
over the tube and then assuming a position but I think I'm pretty
safe there. I wrote to Larry about him and he had some things
to say....none unflattering and mostly agreeing with me and adding
some items of information I was lacking. You have added more and
this increases my knowledge of this game and for that, I thank
you.
Frankly, I'd love to go to a game with you and the crew. I'd probably
learn more in that time than I have in the last year.
