Ken, the information contained in your manuscript should not be wasted. May I make a suggestion? If you can find the manuscript, why not make it available to the readers of this and other web pages? Kinko's or a similar store could make photocopies of the manuscript (and illustrations) for you. Once you knew how much the copying charges were, you could add something for your effort and postage, and set a price. I, for one, would pay in the $15 to $30 range for a good photocopy of the 150 page manuscript and illustrations. That's about what a new book costs anyway. Please consider it. And ... I'd like my photocopy autographed by you (the author), please! Thank you.
