when i was 14 my brother would go to melbourne jai-alai and come home and describe to me how boniguen would climb the wall. they used to put the entries in the paper so every time mutilla and sarduy played together i would give my bro $2 for a show ticket. more often than not he would come home late and hand me 5 or 6 bucks or so. then when i turned 17 he got me in without being carded. it was the last night of the year and very crowded. i remember betting the 8 across the board because i liked the style of the backcourt gondra. they took the game straight out. 14 years later i played with gondra and we got to game point our first time together. it was neat to play against the guys i watched in my first encounter.
