Yes, Milford did have the same type of service for awhile, they were called Tele-Bet girls there.

The old tickets were more fun to hold in your hand. It was a pain in the neck to stand in the cashier's line and then get in line to bet. You had to go to different windows for quiniella and perfecta/trifecta. Only a couple of windows sold win/place/show tickets.
