You're probably familiar with the Round Robin format. It's what's used in, for example, soccer's World Cup tournament. However, since we haven't used this format in previous Rumbles, if the rules are unclear or there's anything you don't understand, please be sure to ask questions. It's best to post your queries on Chalk Talk for all to see. CAUTION: It can get complicated, so please read carefully.
The Rumble will be based on Dania performances. And, yes, you must be a Chalk Talk member to compete, so join up now if you want to participate.
PRIZES: All Donated by Chalkie Steve D (sedjld). Thanks, Steve!
With First Prize, the winner also receives ultimate Chalk Talk bragging rights (at least until the next Rumble).

The contest is divided into several discrete phases, which become more difficult as the field is reduced.
QUALIFICATION ROUND (MANDATORY)
You'll pick the winners of all 10 games of the Sunday, November 1, 4:00 PM performance. Using the Campeonato (5-Win/3-Place/1-Show) point results of your selections, the top 36 scorers will be seeded into the Group Stage, with the higher finishers receiving more favorable positions. If there are fewer than 36 entries, 'byes' will be added to fill out the field. The 'cut' will be at 36 contestants.
A. GROUP STAGE
There are 6 flights (A through F) of 6 players each (the top 36 from the Qualifying Round). You will play 5 matches (Round Robin format), one against each other member of your flight.
Individual (head-to-head) matches are scored using Campeonato (5-3-1) points.
In your individual matches, you will score 2 points for a win, 0 for a loss, 1 for a tie.

B. MASTER STAGE
With 24 players eliminated, we cut down to 2 flights (G and H) of 6 players each (the top 2 from each of the Group Stage flights). You will play 5 matches (Round Robin), one against each member of your flight.
Scoring is the same as in the Group Stage.
C. 'KNOCKOUT' STAGE (FINALS)
This is a 'Knockout' bracket. Includes only the final 4 players (top 2 from each of the Master Stage flights). In the semi-finals, each Master Flight winner plays the runner-up from the other flight. Semi-final winners face off the following day. Campeonato Points. Entries will be confidential.
BREAKING TIES WITHIN A FLIGHT
With only 5 matches played in the Group and Master Stages, match-point ties are possible and, if necessary, tiebreakers will be used. In such cases, the ranking among tied teams is determined as follows:
1. Campeonato Points scored in all flight matches
2. Combined Campeonato Point differential in all flight matches
3. Campeonato Points in head-to-head matches
4. Campeonato Point differential in head-to-head matches
5. Campeonato Points in Qualifying Round
6. (gasp) Coin flip or lot draw
GENERAL RULES (for EACH performance)
Each contestant picks ONE post position (team or player) for EACH game of the program. If a player is scratched, his designated sub will be used. Rumble contestants score Campeonato points based on their picks' game finishes (Win-5 points, 2nd-3 points, 3rd-1 point). The contestant with the most Campeonato points is the match winner, and will receive 2 Match Points. Ties are possible, in which case, each participant will receive 1 Match Point.
The contest begins with the Sunday, November 1 Dania Matinee performance, with the top 36 finishers making it to the final seeding. The play-in will be decided on total Campeonato (5-3-1) points for that performance. Group Stage Round 1 (flights A through F) begins on Wednesday, November 4.

CHANGES TO YOUR PICKS ...
You ARE allowed to modify your selections, up to Game #1 post time. Just repost your selections in the original thread - the last-entered selections will be used.
OH, BY THE WAY ...
It's just not sportsmanlike to watch & wait for your opponent's selections, and then carefully craft your picks against theirs. You might think that's clever 'strategery', but this contest is about your PICKING SKILLS, not 'gamesmanship' ... 'nuff said.
THE FINE PRINT IF YOU DON'T SUBMIT AN ENTRY You receive ZERO points for the day, and your match is defaulted. IF YOUR ENTRY IS POSTED LATE
(i.e., AFTER GAME #1 POST TIME)
You receive ZERO points for the day, and your match is defaulted. IF YOUR ENTRY HAS FORMAT ERROR(S) AND ISN'T REPAIRED IN TIME If we can (somehow) interpret your selection, we'll try to correct the problem. It's our judgment, so no complaints if YOU blow it. IF YOU DEFAULT IN THE FINALS You will not receive the runner-up prize.
