Chalk Talk Rumble
"Double Knockout III"
Official Rules (June, 2019 edition)
This is a double-elimination match play contest where you'll play head-to-head against another Chalk Talk contestant. The format is similar to those used in baseball and softball tournaments.
Each match winner advances to the next round. The loser drops to the Losers bracket for a second chance. However, anyone who loses TWO matches is really, most sincerely, dead. Contestants will be seeded into the top bracket based upon scores in the qualifying round. The field is limited to 32 (based upon submit time, if necessary). If there are fewer than 32 contestants, first-round 'byes' will be assigned to complete the field.
If you look at the bracket, you'll see that each match has a corresponding letter (Red on the left side, Blue on the right). The winner of Match "A" moves on to Match "I". The loser of Match A drops to the Losers Bracket to meet the loser of Match B, and so forth.
With First Prize, the winner also receives ultimate Chalk Talk bragging rights (at least until the next Rumble).

GENERAL RULES (for EACH performance)
Each contestant picks ONE post position (team or player) for EACH game of the program. If any player is scratched, his designated sub will be used. Rumble contestants score Campeonato points based on their picks' game finishes (Win-5 points, 2nd-3 points, 3rd-1 point). The contestant with the most Campeonato points is the match winner. If both contestants have the same point total, the win will be awarded to the contestant whose entry was submitted first.
The contest begins with the Saturday, June 8 Dania Matinee performance, with the top 32 finishers making it to the final seeding. The play-in will be decided on total Campeonato (5-3-1) points for that performance. Round 1 (full bracket, matches A-H) follows on Sunday, June 9.

OH, BY THE WAY ...
It's just not sportsmanlike to wait for your opponent's selections, and then carefully craft yours against theirs. You might think that's clever 'strategery', but this contest is about your PICKING SKILLS, not 'gamesmanship' ... 'nuff said.
THE FINE PRINT IF YOU DON'T SUBMIT AN ENTRY You receive ZERO points for the day, and your match is defaulted. IF YOUR ENTRY IS POSTED LATE
(i.e., AFTER GAME 1 POST TIME)
You receive ZERO points for the day, and your match is defaulted. IF YOUR ENTRY HAS FORMAT ERROR(S) AND CAN'T BE REPAIRED IN TIME If we can (somehow) interpret your selection, We'll try to correct the problem. It's our judgment, so no complaints if YOU blow it. IF YOU DEFAULT IN THE FINALS You will not receive the runner-up prize.
